𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 - The DnD Retro
Retro theme number 22 for 2021; I was challenged to create this by Andreas Worm following his featured episode on the Virtually Agile Videocast.
Challenge complete!
This challenge had me upping my game in terms of gamification and retro mechanics. If you missed it, you can catch our conversation here;
Access the Miro template below, plug & play into your own instances and let me know how you get on!
Download for Miro;
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼?
Choose from a range of characters / classes & retrospect as a team through playfulness and adventure.
Your scrum master or facilitator becomes the dungeon master and architects the story of this retro
Gain inventory items to help you navigate through the dungeon, its traps and enemies by giving kudos where it's due
Roll for initiative against enemies and traps alike. If you fail in your roll, share something that you hated in the last iteration. ("They see me rollin', they hatin" - +1 Intelligence
If you succeed in your roll, share a risk the team needs to look out for in the future (Beware the smiling dungeon master) +1 Wisdom
Invite your team to rate their own retro using a fist of five (Mini groot) as retros themselves shouldn't be omitted from continuous improvement!
Because work can be fun with a little creativity.
Let me know what your team thought of this retro. I love hearing stories about how they go down.
As always, you can download this, alongside 45+ other retro templates here;

Don't stop believin folks
Would it be possible to have these exported as a vector-quality PDF? My organization uses Lucidspark instead of Miro and only supports PDF import of Miro boards. I would really love to use some of these retrospectives but can't see a lot of the assets from the screenshots (and don't really look forward to having to recreate them all). The free version of Miro doesn't allow for uploading backups either, so I can't work around it (though Mural does allow for creation from templates and export as PDF so I was able to pull a couple of your retros that are available as Mural templates).
