๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ก๐ก ๐ฉ๐ค ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ก๐ค๐ฌ - If you hear someone, (๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ค๐ฃ๐) refer to a person as a resource and do nothing about it. You are part of the problem and are equally at fault.
Dehuminisation in the work place is a global pandemic. It's ubiquitous. Stifling and utterly wrong.
The very notion that a person is a resource, turns them into an abstract concept. An asset that can be 'sweated', they become an avatar, a number, a statistic, a name behind a screen and it's easier to treat them without the
If I could ask anything of my network today, it would be to embrace a #PeopleFirst mentality and challenge constructively the use of such language. Taking no action here is a decision on your part, that you acknowledge and accept the current reality and are aware that it won't change.
If anyone has seen the movie inception, they have the concept of a 'totem', something that keeps them anchored to reality. I have the same on my desk to keep me anchored to being #PeopleFirst. His name is baby groot and he reminds me daily to think of people as beating hearts behind the screen.
